The Feb. 13 report on MSN.com that Ashley Olsen is dating 47-year-old "Moneyball" director is even more interesting when coupled with the fact that her twin sister, Mary-Kate Olsen has been in a serious relationship with 44-year-old Olivier Sarkozy for a couple of years. Ashley Olsen is seeing Bennett Miller, and they were publicly seen together at the recent funeral of Philip Seymour Hoffman. Is there possibly a deeply-rooted explanation why these 27-year-old fashion moguls are dating men old enough to be their fathers?
Would a childhood spent on the set of "Full House" with three older men as co-stars have anything to do with their joint proclivity for much-older, fatherly-looking men? Or could it possibly just be one of those "twin things" that people talk about?
Of course, there is nothing inherently wrong with the large age gap in the relationships. Perhaps the "creep" factor comes from the fact that we all still think of the Olsen twins as little Michelle Tanner on the long-running show.
You can read on Time about Candace Cameron Bure and Scott Weinger, DJ and Steve from Full House, getting back together for an episode of "The Neighbors."
