Grammy Award winner Mary J. Blige is "hurting" over friend and collaborator Whitney Houston's death. Issuing a heartfelt message during the Grammy Awards Sunday, Blige told fans "I wanted Whitney Houston to make it".
"So many tears, hurting so bad, this is unbelievable!," said Blige. "I really don't know what else to say. I wanted my sister Whitney Houston 2 make it."
Blige joins a number of celebrities who have spoken publicly about Houston's shocking death Saturday. She had, over the years, performed with Whitney Houston, most notably during VH1's Divas Live in 1999. That year, the two divas came together to pay tribute to Aretha Franklin singing "Ain't No Way". The song was later released in CD form via Divas Live!
