Marvel teases ‘Every Single One’ Spider-Man event in new promo

Marvel released a mysterious new teaser image this weekend featuring a classic-costumed Spider-Man while surrounded by several silhouetted characters. From the looks of it, it appears that the mystery characters are all part of the extensive Spider-Man family based on the outlines of the figures (is that Spider-Ham climbing a building by Spider-Man’s left knee??) and the not so subtle way in which all the silhouettes are filled with webbing.

According to writer Dan Slott, this was a story that he originally intended to tell in the pages of Superior Spider-Man, but instead was pushed back by Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso and Editor Joe Quesada.

If we had to place a guess as to what this promo means, we’d say this upcoming story arc is related to the cryptic premonition had by Julia Carpenter (aka, Madame Web) in Superior Spider-Man #20 where she warned that “The great web is coming undone” and that soon, “…all the Spiders will die!”

Given the particular language used for “the great web” and “all the spiders”, it certainly appears that we could be looking at a joining of multiverses, with all Spider-Men and Spider-Women from different eras and dimensions coming together in the same space and time to fight a yet-to-be-revealed (and multiversal) threat.

We expect to hear more about Marvel’s ‘Every Single One’ event later this week but we’d love to hear YOUR thoughts on the teaser right NOW! Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
