Marvel Studio's Guardians of The Galaxy finds their Drax The Destroyer. Marvel Studios, the film division of Marvel comics has been actively casting for their next big screen venture Guardians of The Galaxy. With Chris Pratt in place to play the role of Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Hollywood Reporter, CBR, Bleeding Cool, and other comic related sites all seem to be confirming that the next casting recruit will be WWE wrestler Dave Bautista in the role of Drax The Destroyer. Chosen from a short list of physical actors such as Isaiah Mustafa, and Jason Momoa, James Gunn (director) has a clear idea of what he is looking to deliver in the role of the space faring, green skinned, alien powerhouse. Drax the Destroyer had his start in the Marvel Comics universe in the 70’s first as an entity created to combat the malevolent Thanos. After being killed off, the character was brought back to life in the 90s and has since played a role on the galactic team and been the subject of the recent Guardians Of The Galaxy Infinite Comics (creative team Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming). Guardians Of The Galaxy is being billed as a space adventure that will feature the current comic book incarnation of the super team including members Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora and Star-Lord.
