Marvel's 'Thanos Rising' comic book assigns Simone Bianchi to pencil the artwork

According to Comic Book Resources on Feb 22, it has been confirmed that Simone Bianchi will be doing the penciling for the "Thanos Rising" mini-series scheduled to come out in comic shops in April.

The presentation at this week's ComicsPRO event revealed some images of Bianchi's works penciling Thanos for "Thanos Rising". It was an exclusive event for retailers and publishers, so not much was exposed to eager eyes. Jason Aaron, the script writer for the series, had this to say:

"I don't want to do a book that has easy answers," Aaron told CBR about his take on the Mad Titan's origin story. "A lot of that comes down to the nature versus nurture argument. Was Thanos born a monster with something evil inside him? Was what he became predetermined by his genetics?"

It's interesting how Aaron spoke comparing real life human psychological methods analyzed among psychologists on Earth and attempting it to apply it to Thanos. But it would make sense to come up with the closest means by which to figure out how the The Mad Titan thinks or even how he came to his current Nihilistic belief system.

Thanos had previous versions of his origins

The series to cover the origin of Thanos should be delving back to his childhood. There are some character profiles that even display some versions of his origins. For instance, an atrocity he committed on his own mother, Sui-San, verses the theory on how she died had been debatable. In actuality, she wound up as collateral damage in a nuclear bombardment on Titan committed by Thanos as an act of vengeance due to his own exile.

Adam Warlock could play a role in his knowledge of The Mad Titan. In a 12-issues series, Adam appears to know more of Thanos than Thanos knows of himself. This would lead some fans to believe that Warlock could be a great contributor to Thanos' origins because he has first hand knowledge of the beast, thanks to Adam's existence in the Soul Gem which remained encrusted in the Infinity Gauntlet that which Thanos possessed. So the atrocities he committed on his mother were debunked by Warlock's knowledge.

This issue seems to give a more intricate detail into his past told quite vividly in an eerily fashion. In case those wondering who appeared to be the "puppet master" to Loki's Chitauri lead invasion of earth at the end "The Avengers" movie, the following clip is provided in video format. "Thanos Rising" could foreshadow and enlighten those who look forward to seeing him in the Marvel cinematic universe. Any being that smiles at the thought of "courting death" would be enough to send shivers down an audience's spine.
