Agent Carter could be getting her own show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, Marvel and ABC announced Friday, January 17, that Agent Carter is a go with Hayley Atwell attached to reprise her role as Agent Peggy Carter.

Agent Carter derives from the Marvel's Captain America comic book series, and was introduced to audiences in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) as a World War II British officer and Steve Rogers/Captain America’s (Chris Evans) girlfriend.

Agent Carter takes place a year after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger and follows Steve Rogers' girlfriend Agent Carter as she builds her career as a secret agent while the hero is frozen in ice.

Attached to the project are Reaper creators and writers Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas who will also executive produce the show, as well as Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely who penned the film adaptation of Captain America.

ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee said that the show "certainly has a good chance to be on the network," during the Television Critics Association press tour.

Rumors surrounding an Agent Carter TV spin-off swirled when the British Agent appeared in the Iron Man 3 DVD One-Shot series.

Stay tuned for any official news from ABC and Marvel.
