Marvel has released new trailers for the upcoming "The Avengers" to introduce viewers to the characters themselves. Starting with Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, and Captain America, each trailer spotlights one of Earth's mightiest heroes.
Starring an ensemble cast, "The Avengers" presented a unique challenge for director Joss Whedon, who would face the task of telling the story of six larger-than-life characters working together without one over-shadowing the others. Whedon has said that if anything, "The Avengers" can be seen through the eyes of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, as sort of the every-man of the group.
The character trailers give a unique look into how each superhero will fit into the group in "The Avengers." British audiences have already seen how the character dynamic will play out when the film premiered in the UK last week. American audiences will have to wait until May 4th to see the Avengers assemble.
Can’t stop the signal: Marvel's The Avengers––directed by Joss Whedon and starring everyone––will be released on May 4, 2012. While you're waiting, read my reviews of Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.
