Marvel movie universe's phase 2 as discussed by Kevin Feige

According to Latino Review on March 3, Kevin Feige delved further into the plans for phase two of the Marvel cinematic universe and the connectivity among these network of films. Feige describes the environment in which some of the films take place and what some represent for the singular characters.

Marvel connection between two galactic themed films

Feige talks about how "Thor Dark World" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" have one thing in common:

"The Thor film and the Guardians of the Galaxy film certainly are cosmic. Guardians and Thor will take the brunt of the cosmic side of the universe, particularly Guardians, which is 95% in space".

The only logical assessment is that the remaining percentage is taking place on Earth.

Iron Man 3 delves more into Tony Stark

It appears that "Iron Man 3" will be more Stark focused. This would not be unlike "Dark Knight Rises" where it was more Bruce Wayne focused where it delved into Wayne's coming to terms with his struggles, thus it appears Stark will be facing his personal challenges against Mandarin.

Feige declares his statement in regards to Tony Stark's challenges in the movie.

“I think Iron Man 3 shows the other side of Phase 2, which is delving deeper into the characters. Throwing them on a much more personal journey. Shane Black’s described Iron Man 3 as a Tom Clancy sort of political thriller, which I like a lot".

Captian America: Winter Soldier and keeping up with the times

It also appears that Feige describes the attempt to hire directors to make the second "Captain America" film in line with the 70s way of political thinking.

“We hired our directors on Cap because they loved our explanation that we really want to make a ’70s political thriller masquerading as a big superhero movie. Just like with the first film – we got Joe Johnston because we said, ‘We want to do a ’40s World War Two movie masquerading as a big superhero movie. I love that we’re doing a sequel to a film that’s a completely different genre than the first film. I think that’s fun. And the comics do it all the time".

Even back in during the 80s, Marvel kept up with fashion with Storm's mohawk and Rogue's MC Hammer look.

It seems that the Marvel movie universe is strategizing tying all the movies together in a nicely done story telling organized fashion.
