In a prime example of corporate synergy, Captain America and the Avengers are about to make their way into the Disney universe. Disney has announced that Marvel characters will be expanded into a “2.0 Edition” Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes game. The highly collectable and addicting open sandbox game was released in the summer of 2013 and has since sold north of 3 million units. This new expansion will allow children to build new worlds within the Marvel library and play them with a host of new characters from the Marvel universe consisting of Iron Man, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Rocket Raccoon and many more. All previous Disney and Pixar figures from the first generation game will be playable in 2.0.

Who needs an Avengers/Justice League team-up, when Earth’s mightiest heroes have The Incredibles backing them up. Disney Infinity 2.0 will be in stores sometime during 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, mobile platforms and the Wii U.
