With Marvel Studio's Phase 2 underway, many already look upon the studio's Phase 3. So far there is only one name a part Marvel's next lineup and that name is Ant-Man. For quite sometime, director Edgar Wright has been slated to direct a film on Marvel's minuscule hero. While a director has been chosen, the film had yet to receive an Ant-Man. Months ago, it was speculated that Marvel was looking at two actor to play the hero. They were Joesph Gordon Levitt and Paul Rudd. Now, at long last, the film finally has its Ant-Man and his name is Paul Rudd.

Rudd has been known for his comedic, roles such as his role as Brian Fatana in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Bergendy and its sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Now according to The Wrap, Rudd has accepted the role and will play the character Hank Pym; who is the first and most famous Ant-Man. The role of Ant-Man is quite different for the star as the character of Hank Pym may have very little humor to him.

It is unclear on what the story will be about, aside from the origins of Ant-Man. What is clear is that Edgar Wright is also writing the film along with Attack the Block co-writer Joe Cornish. The other detail that has gone around about the film is that there will be two Ant-Mans in the film. The second Ant-Man has speculated to be Scott Lang;who was the second character to dawn the Ant-Man mantle.

While the details are still unclear, many fans can finally put a face to the character with Paul Rudd dawning the ant helmet. Now for the next question: who will play Wasp?

Ant-Man arrives in theaters on July 31,2015.

Update: According to Comingsoon.net, the cast is official. Paul Rudd will be Ant-Man in 2015.
