For years every year Marvel delivered a new epic X-Men crossover that always had a major impact on the X-titles as well as the Marvel universe. Lately they have been focusing more on the Universe crossovers as opposed to the individual titles. Now in celebration of the X-Men’s 50th Anniversary Marvel’s first major crossover event in three years from creators Brian Michael Bendis, Jason Aaron, Brian Wood, Frank Cho, Stuart Immonen, Chris Bachalo, David Lopez & Giuseppe Camuncoli continues in the second half of X-Men: Battle of the Atom.
In the story McCoy brought the original X-Men into the present in hopes of changing the course of history and stopping Cyclops’ mutant revolution before it even begins. But as they try to cope with their devastating futures, the team begins to unravel from the inside. And just as mutant civil war is about to hit its boiling point, an unexpected third party comes in to change the game—the future X-Men! They’ve traveled back in time with a warning—the original X-Men need to go back to their rightful time or they will be the final nail in mutant kind’s coffin.
The second half of Battle of the Atom kicks off in October through Wolverine & The X-Men #37 and X-Men: Battle of the Atom #2 as well as second printings of All-New X-Men #16 and X-Men #5.
