Feb. 22, 2012, Marvel announced the release of part one of Ends of the Earth. Part one will be release in Amazing Spider-Man #682. Before the announcements have been lacking in details about what the story would contain. The press release gives a basic run down of the first part of this four part story. As Marvel ramps up for the release of the new Spider-Man movie the different Spider-Man comic book stories all seem to be leading towards an major event, that may change the Spider-Man label forever.
Over the last few years the different Spider-Man titles have had major changes. The three biggest are the death of Peter Parker and his replacement with Miles Morales in Ultimate Spider-man, the announcement that Spider-man will be leaving The Avengers after the Fear Itself series and the events of Spider Island in the Amazing Spider-man story.
With the major success of the Ultimate Spider-man change over, the success with Avenging Spider-man, the increase in readership of Scarlet Spider, the upcoming Avengers VS X-Men storyline and the teaser for Spider-men, is Marvel planning a major change in the Marvel Universe (Earth-616)?
Rumors have circling the Web about a major change in the Amazing Spider-man storyline. The rumors range from the return of Mary Jane, the death of Peter Parker, the imprisonment of Spider-man, the reboot of the Amazing Spider-man story line and many others. We contacted Marvel for comment about these rumors but have no heard back from them by the time of this story.
