Blues and BBQ go together as well as boogie and woogie. Chuck’s BBQ in the Chicago suburb of Burbank has become an award winning source for some of the region’s best BBQ. People are talking about it. It’s on TV. It’s very good. Pair this venue up with some of Chicago’s finest blues music in the form of The Marty Sammon Blues Band. Again, people are talking, he’s on TV (Jay Leno Show and Windy City Live most recently) and he’s very very good.
Wednesday, July 6th at 8 PM is when it’s going to come together. Chuck’s is often known as Chuck’s Southern Comforts Café, and the music comes to you from the Voodoo Lounge. That sounds good. Marty Sammon is also known as the long-time keyboard player for the great Buddy Guy. That sounds very good.
The Voodoo Lounge is a comfortable room for dining and blues. There is more to enjoy than BBQ as Chuck’s menu also has Tex-Mex and boasts superb New Orleans cuisine. Sammon’s menu is also diversified and besides real Chicago Blues, he serves up authentic, tasty New Orleans piano.
The holiday weekend is over. Let someone else do the cooking. As anyone who has experienced a live Marty party will tell you, Sammon cooks and you will be entertained.
