Martina McBride will release ‘Everlasting’ paying tribute to R&B and soul music

Martina McBride announced that she will release an album of cover songs paying tribute so some of the most notable R&B and soul classics ever recorded.

Martina McBride, a four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year posted a link on her Facebook page on Dec. 15 and fans can hear one of the songs from McBride's upcoming "Everlasting". Martina McBride sings“If You Don’t Know Me By Now” which was originally recorded by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes. Martina McBride puts her own unmistakable mark on the the song with her powerful voice, one of the best in country music.

Martina McBride’s new CD “Everlasting” is due out on March 4, 2014 and will feature other American classics span 1955 through 2010. Other songs McBride fans will find on “Everlasting” are Aretha Franklin’s “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man” and Sam Cooke’s “Bring It on Home to Me”. Martina partnered with Grammy Award-winning producer Don Was and brings her own style and flair to many well-loved American R&B and soul classics.
