Martha Redbone Roots Project to play free concert at The Strathmore

Martha Redbone Roots Project is the the entertainment scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2014 free concert on the Strathmore Mansion lawn. She has been described as a blues and soul singer. She has recorded award winning Native American music. Roots Project might be the name of her band but it describes her music. Her music is a mix of blues, soul, Native American Music, Appalachian music, Americana music, and even classic literature.

Her latest release The Garden of Love featured the poetry of William Blake put to Martha's music. A daring concept from an artist who is not afraid to mix things up. So far it has been a success as she has performed at the New Orleans Heritage and Jazz Festival and is scheduled to perform at Festivals in Winnipeg and Calgary later this summer. The Strathmore is easy to get to by Metro as it is located next to the Grosvenor -Strathmore metro station. There is also a parking garage at the Strathmore.
