Marshawn Lynch fined: Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch fined 50k for silence

Marshawn Lynch has been fined $50,000 for keeping quiet. That may sound odd, but when you play in the NFL, speaking comes with the job.

According to an eCanada.com report on Jan. 6, the NFL fined the Seattle Seahawks running back $50k for failing to speak with the media throughout the season.

That seems a bit strange coming from the flamboyant Lynch who talks quite a bit on the field.

Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks are as tough as they come, but they will have to let their on-the-field play show that when they take on the New Orleans Saints in the NFL playoffs divisional round action this weekend.

Randy Moss was the previous highest fined victim for not speaking to the media. Moss was fined $25,000 back in 2010 as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

The NFL must be hard up for money since Lynch will have to pay twice as much.
