Marshawn Lynch assault rumors have many NFL fans clamoring for information. The Seattle Seahawks' star running back is under investigation for an alleged assault that took place Sunday night (Aug. 10). According to a report from The Seattle Times on Monday (Aug. 11), a detective has been assigned to the case and they are investigating what might have taken place. It is the Bellevue Police Department is investigating an allegation of assault and personal property damage.
There isn't a lot of information about what may or may not have taken place during the incident. What has been relayed, though, is that the allegations do not include a domestic or sexual assault. At the time of this report, there wasn't even a confirmation given that Lynch was involved in the case. It is something that the front office for the Seahawks will certainly pay close attention to, especially with how integral Lynch is to the current offensive system that they work with.
A press release states that, "the Bellevue Police Department received an allegation of an assault and personal property damage at a downtown Bellevue apartment unit. The incident was alleged to have occurred at 2:30 a.m. on August 10. The female victim alleged that the suspect was Marshawn T. Lynch." This is where the facts come to an end (for now) and where internet conjecture has started taking over. Fans of other NFL teams have used this opportunity to really go after him on social media.
During the 2013 NFL season, Lynch was an extremely important player for the Super Bowl champions. He rushed for 1,257 yards on just 301 carries and scored a total of 14 touchdowns during the regular season. He then rushed for four more touchdowns in a memorable postseason run for the Seahawks. Fantasy football owners will want to pay close attention to these Marshawn Lynch assault allegations just in case it leads to a suspension of some kind.
