Marshall Mathers LP 2 is coming soon, and fans of Eminem likely thought that the news of the rapper’s upcoming album was the biggest thing this VMAs weekend had to offer in terms of musical exposure. Eminem’s new album will be out for U.S. music listeners to purchase this Nov. 5, so the release date is just over two months away, Billboard reports this Sunday, Aug. 25.
It’s been confirmed that “Marshall Mathers LP 2” will be the title of Eminem’s newest release. The popular rapper first announced the news just recently through a broadcast Beats by Dre commercial, which first played during this Sunday night’s MTV VMAs.
While the “Marshall Mathers LP 2” official release date and album information was confirmed just tonight, it was teased by rapper Eminem quite a bit beforehand via Twitter. Eminem had tweeted:
“Guess who’s REALLY back? #VMAs” said the star's Twitter and linked Instagram account.
Fans can prepare to expect a snippet of what “MMLP2” has in store — with the album produced by executive Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre — this Tuesday with his newest single, called “Berzerk.” Stay tuned.
