Marshall Crenshaw's Bottomless Pit

Continuing it's long tradition as one of the most progressive stations in the tri-state area, if not the country, WFUV (90.7) has added songwriter Marshall Crenshaw to it's roster. He's hosting a new specialty show called The Bottomless Pit, which airs on Saturday night's at 10pm, right after Vin Scelsa's Idiot's Delight. The show, originally hosted on WKZE in the Hudson Valley, features music from Crenshaw's own record collection along with stories from his thirty years as a recording artist. Says Crenshaw; "Basically, I bring records from home, most of which I've paid for with my own hard-earned money, I play stuff and I run my mouth. Hopefully not too much."

Crenshaw first came to prominence in 1982 with the success of his single, "Someday, Someway", which has become a staple of Adult Alternative radio playlists around the country over the years. He's continued to maintain a respectable career crafting infectious and edgy tunes ever since. When describing his radio show, Crenshaw sounds as if he could be describing his own musical career; "Stylistically the music is mostly Rock & Roll along with a smattering of anything and everything else you could think of. And by the way, I really like doing it."
