We're at a really interesting astrological crossroads here.
For one thing, have you noticed what a cranky-pants, irritable Mars retrograde in Virgo this has been? Since late January it's been dragging a lot of anger and resentment up in people. And really, that's what Mars can do, what with being the God of War and all. Especially when it's in perfectionistic Virgo!
But actually, this cycle really does serve a purpose.
If you can work with releasing those old, festering emotions of anger and resentment from your body, you create space for the 'new' to arrive, particularly after April 11 when Mars moves direct.
So between now and mid-April is a great time for clearing these emotions any way imaginable. Physical exertion, breaking bottles at a recycling center, writing a letter that you burn, whatever it takes.
Get it out!
After all, it's just energy.
Personally I like a prayer that says something like,
"Help me to forgive whoever I need to forgive. Help me to release any lingering resentment. Free me from any shackles of anger and blame. Let the slate be wiped clean for a new positive beginning."
You may find that the biggest person you need to love and forgive is yourself. Mars retrograde in Virgo can cause people to be unbelievably hard on themselves. You may simply need to start just by sending lovingkindness to you.
In a sense you could say we're in a finite cycle (eight more weeks) of purification and preparation. And luckily Virgo is the consummate sign for cleansing and clearing.
This cycle is amplified by Saturn in Libra, ruling relationships of all kinds, going retrograde a few days ago. Until June when it goes direct, many relationships--love, business, friendships-- will finish. Saturn can be extremely efficient at clearing away the deadwood.
Just know this:
If something ends, it has completed its karmic purpose. Many relationships are ending where one person has entered a new level of awareness but their partner has not. Their vibrations no longer match.
Since Saturn hasn't been in Libra since 1981-1983 we're cleaning up a long, long cycle.
In this stretch from April to June and onward, new liasons of all kinds may well arrive, sometimes with startling speed. After all, Saturn will be in its final degrees of Libra until October when it leaves for Scorpio. Much will be changing on the relationship front between now and then.
But here's the catch. You don't want old smoldering resentments stemming the tide of good that may wish to come your way.
So it's a great time to fearlessly examine who you may still secretly be enraged with. In any way imaginable...let it go.
You can hold a simple prayer that says something like,
"Let me release all situations I have outgrown. Let me have the courage to let go of what I need to go of. Let me be open to receiving the highest energy of the new cycle."
