Mars is the planet that governs our actions and after being in laid back Pisces since early February, it enters the first sign of the zodiac on 3-12 at 2:26 a.m. EST.
When Mars changes signs, energy changes and things will start to move forward at a much faster pace. Aries is the natural ruler of the first house, ruling the self and the desires. It represents the ego and personal drive/desire. While in Aries, Mars is in the sign of its rulership and works well here. Aries is a Cardinal sign and things get going with Mars operating in this modality, especially after Mercury goes direct March 17. As Mars enters Aries it is at 0 degrees known as the Aries Point and it represents movement from an inner quality to an outer manifestation, so the dreams and ideas you have been nurturing will soon begin to take form.
Shortly after Mars enters Aries, Venus will move into the same sign on 3-21. This will give a real boost to fire signs and could be a time you meet someone of significance, or relationships go to a new level.
As Mars and Venus enter Aries, and eventually the Sun and Mercury, each of these planets will conjunct Uranus and square Pluto. Mars conjuncts Uranus on March 23, coming just before full moon in Libra that opposes Uranus March 27. This is a volatile few days in the world and we will see explosive situations in the news. This will be a period to use caution in every respect as the definition of Uranus-Mars pertains to unexpected and unplanned for events of a potentially explosive nature. Mars squares Pluto on March 26, just before the full moon and this transit relates to bullies and those with agendas to push. Some relationships will end around this time if they are tottering on the edge.
March 29, Venus conjuncts Uranus, along with the Sun in Aries, and this will be a day full of surprises. March 30, Venus squares Pluto and this day can be obsessive about money or love.
The full moon will probably be the most difficult of the year. It will have the most significance to Cardinal signs: Aries/Libra and Cancer/Capricorn.
