Marriage, Culture, and Nationality

Being married in today's time with children is not like the old television show 'Married With Children.' In fact, it is totally different; every marriage is different because of culture, different nationalities, and how people raise children. Married couples with children love one another, respect one another, and most of all take care of one another. So why is marriages different, when people marry others who are of a different culture, or nationality?

Different cultures believe different things, and this is so true when couples start having children. Even though the couples idea of raising children are similar, in fact they are so different. Some couples that marry into a different culture believe that his or her culture should be the dominant without any regard to the other. But, there is couples that have similar beliefs in raising their children that raise their children with ease.

Culture is what a person makes of it. Just because a person lives in the United States but is of a different race, or nationality will tell you that they incorporate his or her culture into the relationship. True, they do incorporate but what about the ones who do not intermingle each other's culture; for this reason I write this article. People who come from a different culture do have some things that are better than the American culture but it should be half and half. This way the children learn all that they can from both the parents culture.

Nationality is just what the color of the skin, race, or religion. Does it not say that in the Bible that God loves all his children whether they are red or yellow, black or white? If so why does everyone have a problem with what color the other person's skin is? To me, this is like saying that we all are no better for making stupidity stand out. Skin color has nothing to do with how a person acts, raises a child, or even how they love someone.

Race is put on a pedestal like on application forms for employment. There has been times when people with a different last name has been put on the spot. This means that a person with a Hispanic name (even if it is a married name) has a tendancy to get asked if they are illegal. Think of the law that Arizone did with the SB107. Is this really right? People may come into the United States looking for sanctuary when in fact they are met with hostility. Hispanics are just looking for a safe place to raise his or her family and to have the "American Dream."

United States has the highest religious organizations than anywhere else in the world. In the United States people have the right to practice his or her religion without having a consequence. Religious organizations are there for families to come praise, worship, and to learn about whether it is God, Allah, or whoever it might be. Families are at peace when they are learning about his or her God, Allah, or whoever it might be. Why do people have to try to squash someone's dream about going to his or her worship place? Is this ignorance or do they just not understand? Through different religious organizations people can go for counseling just to get hellp with his or her family or marriage.

With all that has been written about marriage in different aspects of culture and nationality, which one fits with the reader's personna? Think about life and how people struggle on a daily basis with culture and nationality. Culture and nationality is just a little form of how a marriage can work or crumble when there is children involved. Put everything on the table before settling down to have children because children are our greatest commodity and they need two loving parents to raise them. Culture and nationality are two ways to ensure that children have the best of everything. Teaching children about different culture and nationality will help them to understand much more about themselves.
