Singer Adam Levine is in the best shape of his life, thanks to his daily yoga practice. The workout regimen has not only made him lean and sinewy, but calm and centered.
"[Yoga has] made me more successful," Levine, 33, told Men's Health. "I love it and don't know what I'd do without it."
The lanky 6-foot Adam, who weighs a wiry 165 pounds, says yoga has enabled him to better channel his nervous energy.
"I have a hard time sitting still," says Levine, who follows a mostly vegan diet. "I can be all over the map. Yoga has given me the ability to be more focused and make better decisions that come from a clear place."
Adam, who's a judge on the reality TV competition "The Voice," is in the midst of a grueling 30-city tour with Maroon 5. Yoga helps him maintain his physical stamina and mental focus despite his hectic schedule.
"A lot of times people will think, 'I'm strong, I'm in shape; why can't I do this pose?' " says Levine, who couldn't touch his toes when he began doing yoga in 2006. "But that's not the point. There's nothing to win in yoga. You just do what you can do, one day to the next."
Levine says he loves yoga for its convenience and accessibility. "You don’t need anything but a few feet of space and a mat," he said. "I can always find at least an hour a day to practice. Yoga will drastically improve you in every way imaginable."
