Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band originally formed in 1994 as Kara’s Flowers while they were still attending high school. To this day, the band still consists of three of its original members: Adam Levine (lead singer), Jessie Carmichael (keyboards, rhythm guitar and back vocals), and Mickey Madden (bass guitar player). James Valentine (lead and rhythm guitar and back vocals) joined in 2001 and has been with the band ever since. Their fifth current member, Matt Flynn (drums and percussion), joined in 2006. The band has strong roots and its members continue to have great relationships
Over a year ago, on March 26, 2013, Maroon 5 officially announced the release of their fourth album, Overexposed. Before the album was released, Maroon 5 premièred their first and second single: “Payphone” and “One More Night”, respectively. Both songs were a hit. “Payphone” features Wiz Khalifa and became number 3 on Billboard Hot 100. “One More Night” became number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and stayed there for 9 consecutive weeks.
The album was then officially released on June 26, 2012 and since then has been a huge success. Levine believes that their album is the “most diverse and poppiest album yet.”
The incredible bond amongst the band members and the charismatic attitudes of each of them will unquestionably produce and unbelievable show. All of their shows scheduled on their tour are selling out quickly so make sure to purchase your ticket soon
