Market Days preparation guide

After a month hiatus to recover from Pride, I am back!  Although I am a little off topic for this first column out.  The weekend of August 7 and 8 marks the mass exodus from Minneapolis to Chicago. It is really one more time to celebrate your another big city.

Market Days, while not officially Pride, is similiar. Local and national vendors set up their booths on Halsted Street and all of Chicago and nearly every other midewestern city within 6 hours converge on the festival.  Several stages of entertainment, art vendors, businesses offering sales, and best of all liquor.  The festival is entirely blocked off so you can drink up and down the street all day long.  The bars are packed with beautiful men...(oh and women).

So for a little something different, I put together a Market Days survival guide for everyone (my best guess is 90% of Minneapolis GLBT) heading to Chicago to enjoy this midwest annual tradition.

And coming soon: The guide for those select few of you who will be remaining in Minneapolis.
