Sugarcreek Township announced that the Market Bag Give Away Day at the Farmer’s Market is August 15, 2014, from 3-7 pm.

Shop the market and pick up a free reusable market bag along with your fresh produce, baked goods, honey and soaps.

Enjoy the following during the farmer’s market:

· DJ Walt “Rockinbird” Barner will be on hand to spin some tunes from the ‘50’s, ‘60’s, and ’70’s;

· Goldie the Clown will face paint; and

· There will be free snow cones along with all kinds of fun.

Old Fort Bank is the sponsor of this year’s market bag.

Some examples of what you might find at the Sugarcreek Township Farmers’ Market include: certified organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables, grass fed beef, grass fed lamb, pork, chicken, eggs, fresh baked breads, cookies and desserts, raw honey, soaps, berries, jams, spun llama wool, organic lavender, farmstead and artisan cheese, fresh cut flowers, perennials, locally roasted coffee beans, and more!

Vendors slated to return this year include National Trail Family Farm, Webb Valley Farm, Chris’ Honey, Blue Jacket Dairy, Big Sky Bread Company, Patchwork Garden, Our Family Soap, Twin Creek Apiaries, Silva Scensations, Berryhill Farm, Jackson’s Farm Market, Irons Fruit Farm, Rue Family Farm, Fine’s Creek Farm, Heather’s Goodies, Friendly Knoll, Morning Granola, L&P Produce, Karolyn’s Garden, Cook’s Organic Farm, Rice Family Farm, Tom’s Garden, Stropich Specialty Foods, Stengl’s Catering, and Rosemary’s Garden.

Vendors new to the market include: Michelle’s Macaroons, Chesapeake Popcorn, Tallowderm.

The market will be held every Friday, May 16-November 21, from 3-7 p.m. The market is held in the old Cubs parking lot on Wilmington Pike.
