Los Angeles is one of the best places in California to enjoy outdoor activities with your dog. Our cities and county as a whole are loaded with dog friendly parks, shopping malls, restaurants, and as of this Saturday, even a dog-friendly MLB baseball game.
That's right, May 28th is the 2nd annual "Bark in the Park" at Dodger's Stadium. Baseball fans will be allowed to bring their dogs along with them to enjoy the Dodgers vs Marlins game in a special dog-friendly section of the bleachers.
The pre-game festivities will include a "Pup Rally", a skateboarding demonstration from Tillman the Skateboarding Bulldog, and a handful of contests including Biggest & Smallest Dog, Tillman look alikes, and dog's exhibiting the most Dodger Spirit.
Tickets for you and your dog come out to $30 a piece, with all proceeds benefiting the Los Angeles Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, aka, SPCALA. According to the website, with the purchase of a doggy ticket, you gain access to an "All-You-Can-Eat RF Pavilion ticket that includes unlimited Dodger Dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn, Coke products, and water". Your dog will also receive a goody bag during the Pup Rally.
There are a few special rules in order to take your pooch to the ballpark though. Tickets must be paid in advance online through the Dodger website. All dogs are required to be at least 6 months of age and accompanied by an owner 18 years old age or older. Waivers must be signed at check-in, and you must have proof of current vaccinations, including rabies. Dogs are also required to have an ID tag on their collar.
