Mark Wahlberg clarifies: Howard Stern IS my cup of tea

Mark Wahlberg called in to the Howard Stern Show Wednesday to squelch rumors that he was blowing off the King of All Media because he "went really religious".

"I’ve always been a very spiritual person," Wahlberg told Stern. "But that has nothing to do with me having a conversation with you."

Last week, Stern said that Wahlberg's publicist had recently blown off an interview request from Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate, snottily telling Fla Fla Flo Hi:

"It's not Mark's cup of tea."

Stern railed against both Wahlberg and Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder, who is also religious and who also turned down a Howard Stern Show interview request. According to Wahlberg though, the feud is a figment of Stern's imagination.

"So I am your cup of tea?" asked Stern.

"You’re one of the funniest guys out there," said Wahlberg. "I don’t know where that [cup of tea rumor] came from….Being the father of four now I want to avoid certain questions, but it’s up to me to figure out how I handle the questions that are being asked.”

Wahlberg went on to speak about Boogie Nights, his new movie Contraband and how he refuses to do graphic love scenes now because it's hurtful to his wife.

He is a star. He's a star, he's a star, he's a star. He's a big, bright, shining star. That's right.
