Mark Twain House hosts Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours again

Hartford's own Mark Twain House has reprised their popular Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours for a very limited run. The Mark Twain House has been featured on Syfy Channel's Ghost Hunters and the Biography Channel's My Ghost Story.The tours are scheduled Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26; 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.The tour will consist of the house's ghost stories and the victorian traditions of seances. They will also cover Mark Twain's deep interest in spiritualism.Tour guides will lead participants through the house and they will get to hear the stories from past paranormal investigations. Staff and guests of the house have reported smelling phantom cigar smoke, random feelings of terror, balls of light, hearing disembodied children's laughter, objects being thrown at them from unseen hands in the basement and foot steps when the house is devoid of visitors. The house has had many paranormal investigators visit in the past including The Atlantic Paranormal Society, The Warrens and The Smoking Gun Research Agency. If you are not interested in the haunted history of the house, normal tours are Monday to Saturday: 9:30am to 5:30pm, last tour leaves at 4:30pm, Sundays: 11:00am to 5:30pm, last tour leaves at 4:30pm. Closed Tuesdays from January to March, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Tickets are $22 for adults 17 and up; $17 for members of The Mark Twain House & Museum; and $15 for children 16 and under.
Service Fees up to $2.50 for each ticket and web convenience fee of $2.00 per transaction.
This tour is not recommended for Children under 10.
