Mark Steines split from wife after 17 years and 2 children

Mark Steines split from his wife Leanza Cornett after 17 years and two children together, according to a Jan. 28, 2013 report by Yahoo! News. Steines was born in Iowa while his wife and mother of their children hails from Virginia. The couple married in a lavish ceremony in Hawaii.

The 48-year-old host of Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family" and his 41-year-old wife, a former Miss America, released a statement about their decision to split."After a great deal of thought and consideration, we have decided to dissolve our 17-year marriage. At this time our concern is for our boys as we help them with this difficult transition. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Steines and Cornett were married in 1995, the same year that he began his career as an "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent. Nearly a decade later, Steines would become the host of the show for eight years. He left "E.T." in 2012.

Cornett also served as an "Entertainment Tonight" host. In addition, she hosted "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and "New Attitudes."

Mark Steines's split from his wife of nearly two decades comes as a surprise to many of their fans. Good luck to the couple as they embark on this new chapter of their lives.
