Mark Nejam cancels Tiger Woods interview for third time; Tiger Woods makes statement; and 911 call released. Tiger Woods lawyer, Mark Nejame contacted the Florida Highway Patrol Sunday and said that he is representing Tiger Woods and that the Sunday police interview was canceled. The police said that the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending. The 911 call can be heard below.
Tiger Woods crashed into a tree near his home in Florida early Friday morning. His wife heard the crash and came outside to help, and couldn’t get the car doors open. She grabbed a gold club and broke the back window and helped Woods out of the car. A neighbor called 911, and when they arrived Woods was lying on the ground and was in and out of consciousness. He was taken to the hospital, but released a few hours later in good condition. Woods has been recovering at his home all weekend.
Tiger Woods is not required to make a statement to the police, but must be able to show a valid driver’s license and insurance for the vehicle he was driving. If (and when) they choose to make a statement it must be honest.
Tiger Woods posted this statement on his website Sunday calling the matter personal and private:
“As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.”
Florida State troopers released the 911 call for Tiger Woods on Sunday. A neighbor called 911 when he spotted the accident. There seems to be a lot of confusion during the call, while the caller relays information to other people in the area. No one mentions Tiger Woods name during the call. Listen to the 911 call below.

The idiot that made the 911 call needs to learn how to listen to the 911/Emergency dispatchers! Had it been a serious accident he could have delayed emergency personnel getting much needed pertinent information.
