Judge Jim Dabney said it all when he essentially called Lindsay Lohan’s attorney Mark Heller an incompetent lawyer. The judge really let Heller have it making sure to point out all his mistakes, according to TMZ on March 1.
Judge Dabney told Heller he was incompetent to practice law in the state of California. The judge also told him that either Lindsay needed to get another lawyer or she would need to appear in court herself to waive the right to a competent California lawyer.
According to the judge, Heller messed up the legal documents that were filed because they did not follow California law and the judge denied the motion to dismiss the charges. Judge Dabney does not believe Heller has a clue about how criminal law works. To make matters worse, the California lawyer who is sponsoring Heller did not even show up for court today.
Lindsay Lohan’s best bet is to find another lawyer and she needs to do it fast or she just may be heading to jail. Mark Heller asked for “mercy and compassion” for Lohan but after his incompetence those words didn’t mean much. Maybe with all of Lohan’s debt Heller was the best she could afford.
