According to Epoch Times on Monday, actor Mark Hamill is likely to have facial hair on "Star Wars 7" and Ricky Brigante, host of the "Inside the Magic", posted on his Twitter feed what Hamill mentioned in regards to when he actually shaved it off. Also, Josh Trank has been announced to direct a "Star Wars" spin-off movie.
Hamill was in Orlando and at the age of 62, he seems to be having a blast posing with the Jedi Mickey Mouse as he wields a light saber. The event is called Star Wars Weekends and was held at the Walt Disney World Resort. Hamill also mentioned how he had to alter his diet and partake in quite a workout regimand. During his experience in working with director J.J. Abrams, Hamill discussed how he had explored all aspects of the set, departments, and costuming venues. The project started its filming in Abu Dhabi and was rumored to bring its next location into Scotland.
“I've altered my diet. I've started working out. There’s that. But on the film itself: I toured the departments, I’ve looked at wardrobe, and I saw the creature shop. I went around and met all the cast people, saw the technicians working on some new things.”
Also, with Trank at the helm of a "Star Wars" spin-off, there's indeed a reason to be excited since Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy deemed him as quite innovative and imaginative. With him helming the "Fantastic Four" reboot and having "Chronicle" under his belt, there's good reason why Kennedy had chosen someone best suited for the job.
"We’re thrilled to welcome Josh into the family. He is such an incredible talent and has a great imagination and sense of innovation. That makes him perfectly suited to Star Wars, and for this new slate of movies that reach beyond the core characters and storylines of Episodes I through IX.”
Trank holds the "Star Wars" universe in high regards as it is likely it really influenced his imaginative capabilities that stemmed back to his childhood.
“The magic of the Star Wars Universe defined my entire childhood.”
"Star Wars 7" is scheduled to be released come Dec. 18, 2015.
