Mark Burnett, Roma Downey on 'The David Spoon Experience' on Friday

On Thursday, radio host David Spoon, of "The David Spoon Experience", which airs Monday through Friday at 2 p.m. on 1210-AM KPRZ here in San Diego, announced that Hollywood's Christian couple of the moment, Mark Burnett and wife, Roma Downey, (creators of the recent, huge hit on the History Channel, "The Bible") will go on the air with David Spoon on Friday at approximately 3:45 p.m.

"The David Spoon Experience" is on at 2 p.m. and runs for two hours, ending at 4 p.m.

As David describes it himself, his show is a kind of mixture between "Steve Martin, Focus on the Family, and Sean Hannity", all rolled into one.....and much, much more.

Mr. Spoon's radio show covers everything from politics, the bible, current events, "personal revelations of his life's insanities", and even what he likes to call the "Devotional Diamond of the Day", which is a daily devotional rooted in scripture with practical and spiritual applications to daily life.

On his show, David Spoon has expressed great pleasure over the History Channel's new mini-series based on the bible. H's been clamoring on his show that he would love it if Mark Burnett and Roma Downey could make it on the show.

On Thursday, David was finally able to gleefully announce that they will, in fact, be on his show, Friday afternoon.

As David mentioned on his show (in typical self-deprecating fashion) he'd been sending out "official e-mails" from "The David Spoon Experience", with zero results.

In fact, David has been desperately trying to get a hold of Bill O'Reilly of Fox News, for about a week now. Apparently, Mr. O'Reilly has not yet responded to David's e-mails.

The jovial radio host has had to endure the sights and sounds of Bill O'Reilly badly misrepresenting the Christian faith, or at the very least, potentially misleading people because of his comments on Fox News.

Spoon has taken issue with the fact that O'Reilly has referred to Christianity as merely a "philosophy" and that much of the bible is simply "allegorical" and not to be taken literal.

You can watch Bill here, discussing these types of issues with Dr. Robert Jeffress, who has also been on "The David Spoon Experience" recently - covering a multitude of topics, including Tim Tebow's cancellation, and a Christian's need to stand firmly in his/her faith regardless of what the world says.

Tune in on Friday, then, to catch David Spoon interviewing Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. It should be a blast. Will Bill O'Reilly ever reply?

Thank you for reading! Have a terrific day... = )
