Dancing With the Stars” pro Mark Ballas was injured Sunday afternoon while rehearsing his finale freestyle with partner Cameron Candace Bure. According to People on Sunday, the Ballas' injury is serious and it is uncertain whether he will be able to dance Monday.

Mark Ballas' injury happened Sunday during camera blocking. Apparently his shoulder popped as he was doing a complex lift with Cameron. Mark was taken to the hospital via ambulance, and he was sent home after being treated.

Luckily there was great help nearby when the injury happened, as Mark's bestie Derek Hough was nearby, as was fellow pro Cheryl Burke. It is said they both rushed over to Ballas' side when the injury occurred. People reports that they both have encouraged Mark to sit out of Monday's “Dancing With the Stars” finale, but he has said he wants to perform.

Mark was tweeting throughout the evening Sunday, at one point posted a note saying, “Hey y'all. I'm doing alright, thanks for the love.” People notes that now another pro is learning Mark and Cameron's dances in case Ballas can't perform Monday night, but that's surely not what anybody wants. Cameron and Mark have given “DWTS” some fabulous performances this season, and it's clear they've built a significant bond. Seeing the former “Full House” star have to dance with anyone else during the finale would be a disappointment all the way around.

It likely won't be clear until Monday night whether Mark Ballas' injury will keep him from dancing during the finale. The final four couples include Cameron and Mark, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis, Amy Purdy and Derek Hough along with James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd. All four will dance twice Monday, doing the “Judges Pick” and the critical freestyle. One couple will be eliminated at the end of the show.

Tuesday night there will be a lot of repeat performances from throughout the full “Dancing With the Stars” season. The final three couples will all compete in the “24 Hour Fusion Challenge,” and a season 18 winner will be named. Will Mark Ballas' injury affect Candace Cameron Bure's chances to win the mirror-ball trophy? Who will walk away as the “Dancing With the Stars” winner for season 18?
