Marissa Meyer's next installment of 'The Lunar Chronicles' has finally arrived! This new book is called 'Scarlet' and is a retelling of the classic fairy tale, 'Little Red Riding Hood.' Once again, Meyer is taking a well known story and putting her own spin on it, as she did previously with 'Cinder.'
Meyer has seen much success already this year, as she has had reviews from both Booklist and Publisher's Weekly. Her popularity is catching on as more and more people are discovering this futuristic fairy tale world that Meyer's has developed.
If we remember from 'Cinder,' we were left with a thrilling cliff-hanger, and we will see the return of Cinder and her struggles with the Lunar Queen in 'Scarlet.' However, we will also follow the tale of a young girl named Scarlet, who meets a young street fighter named Wolf on her journey to locate her missing Grandmother. Scarlet will eventually come into contact with Cinder, where it is expected that their two stories will become tangled together.
If you have not yet experienced the world of 'Cinder,' it is highly recommended. Last year, I wrote a spoiler-free review, if you are interested in hearing more. Both 'Cinder' and 'Scarlet' are available at popular book retailers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. In addition, 'Cinder' has also been released in paperback form, for those who do not want to pick up the hardcover.
Soon, I will bring you my spoiler-free review of 'Scarlet.'
