Mayer has made some radical changes at Yahoo with a better focusing of Yahoo's products, which has earned her a $1 million bonus from the board.

And during Mayer's short time with the firm, Yahoo’s stock price has jumped from $15 to $23, which has adds over $17 billion in market value to the firm, which is a top-five traffic destination on the web. Mayer has brought hope to the firm that Yahoo will not remain largely irrelevant and will instead actually become a major technology force again. The $1 million bonus is just a small drop in the bucket for Mayer, whose total overall compensation for her first year as Yahoo CEO could top $60 million.

This report says Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer received a $1.1 million bonus for her first five-and-half months running the Internet firm. This bonus supplements Mayer’s annual salary of $1 million and $56 million in long-term stock compensations that she has received from Yahoo.
