Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has found herself in an enviable situation with Yahoo where she has been given a $1 million bonus after just 6 months with the firm. John Koetsier has reported for Venture Beat on March 7, 2013, Marissa Mayer’s 6-month bonus from Yahoo: $1,000,000. Mayer has made some radical changes at Yahoo with a better focusing of Yahoo's products, which has earned her a $1 million bonus from the board.
And during Mayer's short time with the firm, Yahoo’s stock price has jumped from $15 to $23, which has adds over $17 billion in market value to the firm, which is a top-five traffic destination on the web. Mayer has brought hope to the firm that Yahoo will not remain largely irrelevant and will instead actually become a major technology force again. The $1 million bonus is just a small drop in the bucket for Mayer, whose total overall compensation for her first year as Yahoo CEO could top $60 million.
