On Feb. 10, Marion Cotillard experienced the same brand of wardrobe malfunction at the BAFTAs 2013 that Jennifer Lawrence did at the SAG Awards 2013, according to Yahoo!.
However, this wasn't a malfunction as far as the House of Dior is concerned. The top designer who swathed both Cotillard and Lawrence for these fancy award shows events owns a hidden weapon in the way this trend setter constructed both fashion statements.
As can be seen in pictures and videos of both celebrities, the Dior gowns worn by Marion and JLaw were equipped to "fall apart" when standing or bending or sitting a certain way. In the case of Jennifer Lawrence, she discovered that her dress could reveal a bit of skin through sheer paneling even though she didn't know this was going to happen when she went to collect her SAG 2013 award.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Marion Cotillard had the same experience on the BAFTA red carpet. Her look of surprise tells the whole story as the screaming yellow gown, a seemingly demure number, showed off this French thespian's amazing upper thigh and a bit of her bum, too, without the woman wearing this special frock really realizing that what had happened.
To be sure, the expression on her face showed her true amazement at this sartorial stunt, but Marion soon resumed her cool as she marched into the big event held in London on Sunday.
And so, as some pundits say Marion Cotillard suffered wardrobe malfunction at BAFTAs 2013, the charming actress actually was experiencing a Dior trick of their trade that may become a sartorial trend in coming fashion seasons by other style makers who like this way of showing off a stitching trick.
