According to TMZ, Maloof paid $25,000 to kiss Lopez, who put his lip lock up for sale at the Have a Heart Auction in Honor of Zeke, "an event to raise money for Zeke Kendall, a 20-year-old man who underwent heart transplant surgery last month."
Lopez (who is 39) and Maloof (who is 51) are romantically involved with other people. Lopez and his 30-year-old wife, Courtney, got married in December 2012, and have been together since 2008. Lopez and his wife have a 2-year-old daughter named Gia, as well as another child due to be born in late 2013.
Maloof began dating 32-year-old Sean Stewart (Rod Stewart's eldest son) after her 2012 separation from husband Paul Nassif, a plastic surgeon whom she married in 2002. The estranged spouses (who have three sons together) are in the process of divorcing.
For Maloof, $25,000 is chump change. She and her brothers are multimillionaires who own the Maloof Companies, which include The Palms hotel/casino empire in Las Vegas and the Sacramento Kings basketball team. There have been recent rumors that she is going to quit "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." She has been with the reality show's cast since its 2011 premiere.
Lopez and Khloe Kardashian become co-hosts of "The X Factor" U.S. in October 2012. Lopez has not publicly commented on recent reports that the show has fired Kardashian and decided to keep him as a host. Representatives for "The X Factor" U.S. will only say that it has not been decided yet who will host the show in 2013.
In other news about Lopez, he was honored with Outstanding Media Entrepreneur Award at the National Hispanic Media Coalition's 16th Annual Impact Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Feb. 22, 2013. On that same day, Lopez and his wife also attended the QVC Style Event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
