He's famous for his big smile and dimples but one group of passengers apparently saw a different side of him when trying to get through the customs line at Puerto Vallarta’s airport earlier this month. The NY Daily News reported on Wednesday, Jan. 29, that the TV host used his celebrity status to get ahead of everyone else in the customs line and even resorted to violence to get his way.
According to a source, the customs line was long with passengers coming in from Los Angeles and New York. Mario, not wanting to wait, got the attention of the customs staff, who quickly moved him and his family to the front of the line. This obviously did not make people happy.
“Everyone was saying, who is this person? What is going on here? The bunch from New York started getting rowdy," said the source.
Mario turned to the New York group and told them, "I’m a celebrity."
This reply set off one man who was traveling with his three kids and the two got into it a bit.
“They gave little chest bumps a few times. Then customs was helping Mario," said the source.
The immature behavior didn't end there. Once Mario got through customs, he apparently yelled out, “You’re in my country now b***h!”
This is all denied by Mario's representative, who said, “Mario would not, and has never behaved, in such a manner. He was traveling with his mother, wife, daughter and newborn. This accusation is ridiculous.”
Since this all happened earlier this month, it's questionable why it's only coming out now. Even if a confrontation did happen, would eye witnesses remember exactly what was said almost a month later? Hopefully, it's not true and his nice guy persona isn't all just an act!
Do you think Mario Lopez really behaved in such a way?
