The official Nintendo release website has confirmed the release of a new game on the Nintendo 3DS. That title is “Mario Golf: World Tour,” and it was released on May 2, 2014. This game is available for purchase at a price of $29.99. This title is the fifth game in the franchise, and the first new title to be released since “Mario Golf: Advance Tour” on the Game Boy Advance.

As the game’s title implies, “Mario Golf: World Tour” is a sports title, and more specifically a golf title. The game stars Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other characters from across the Super Mario franchise as they play against each other in rounds of golf. The game has a number of different modes and challenges to overcome. These range from the standard 18-hole golf rounds to more puzzle-type games such as Ring Master, where the player must shoot the ball through rings and then complete the course under par.

The player has two options on how they choose to control their game. The first option is a simplified shot, where the player must simply control the power of their shots with a few button presses. The second option is a more advanced shot, where the player must factor in things such as spin, trajectory, and accuracy. Players can use whichever option suits their play style and they can choose to use either the touch screen or use the standard buttons of the platform.

This title is the first title to offer Downloadable Content (mainly because this is the first title on a platform that can connect to the Internet). This content comes in the form new characters to play as and new courses to play on. This content is available for the price of $5.99 per pack, though only one piece of DLC is currently available. The player also has the option to purchase a season pass for $14.99 that gives the player all of the DLC at a slightly discounted price.
