Mario Cantone's outrageous Christmas celebrity imitations on 'The View'

The View's
"favorite elf" Mario Cantone spiced up The View Christmas Special on Thursday morning with a rip-roaring rant about Christmas carols and some outrageous imitations of celebrities including Liza Minelli, Bob Dylan and Michael MacDonald.

Mario Cantone burst on to The View stage like he'd been shot out of a cannon and showed The View-bots what their show might be like if someone with an actual sense of humor were a member of their panel.

Mario Cantone first imitated gravel-voiced folk musician Bob Dylan performing Christmas carols followed by an imitation of children all over the world screaming: "Shut it off!  He's scaring me!'"  Mario Cantone also brought up that former Doobie Brothers member Michael McDonald's latest Christmas album contains some really odd original Christmas songs about loved ones in the hospital, and gave the audience a sample of what it sounded like with frightening precision.

Mario Cantone rounded out his appearance with a full-length performance of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as Liza Minelli--but not in drag, of course.  We all know that ABC wants to avoid another "scandalous" or "provocative" Adam Lambert-type situation.

Vote in the poll on who you'd most like to hear a Christmas album from next!

most newspapers and all stores that use X_MAS have truly lost the meaning of the Lord Jesus' birth. it's not about having a good 4th quarter, it is the gift that God the Father gave to the world. next year maybe all those who use X-mas will realize that Jesus is the reason for the season
