Marino's Italian Ices makes everyone smile when they see the little yellow cups in the freezer. So summery with it's icey, brightly colored and retro flavors, Marino's is exactly what you think of when you think of Italian ices.
A box of six used to include little, wooden, 2-sided sticks, which definitely added to the experience. Even now, without the sticks being included, the edge of your spoon will still give you that incredibly satisfying sound specific to eating ices! You simply cannot get this experience with ices scooped from a tub.
What about the thick layer of syrupy goo on the bottom? MMMMmmmm! Still there! It is the prize when you get down to that layer- almost like reading the last page of a good book. Some people eat it "just enough" to turn the ices over in the cup and get to that part. Personally, I am a purest and do not. I patiently wait.
Marino's is a local company out of Queens, NY. Started in New York in the early 1960’s, and introduced at the 1964 World Fair, Marino's Italian Ices immediately became New York’s Favorite Italian Ice.
Marino's come in 6 flavor varieties: Cherry (my favorite!), Lemon, Chocolate, Orange, Watermelon and a kid's favorite...Rainbow. Each flavor is 100 calories (except Chocolate, which is 120) Lactose Free, Cholesterol Free, Gluten Free, there is No added Sodium, and best of all... non fat. Marino's is OU kosher certified and available in most grocer's freezers..jpg)

Great refreshing break to the exhausting heat.
What time are you serving Marino's Italian Ices at your house? I need to book my flight from Houston.
