This story should be labeled the “Tale of the Three Lucky Vandals”….the ones who scratched “F--- Marines” on the side of a twice deployed combat Marine in Colfax, N.C.
Cpl. Noah Anderson was lying on his sofa Friday night when he saw his outdoor motion sensor lights activate.
When he stepped outside to investigate, he saw three suspects running from his home and towards the nearby woods.
The lucky vandals escaped unscathed.
Three weeks ago, an armed former U.S. Marine stepped outside of his home in Maple Valley, Wash., and interrupted a car theft in progress. It did not end well for the male thief who had arrived in a previously stolen Honda. There were no charges filed against the former combat Marine when it was learned the thief was dead-at-the-scene.
The Guilford North Carolina County Sheriff’s Department is pursuing leads in the vandalism case; knowing the perpetrators will likely brag to friends about their misdeeds.
Civilians in the Colfax, N.C., area have stepped up to pay Cpl. Anderson’s $500 insurance deductible.
