A Marine's pregnant wife is missing, and authorities have not ruled out that foul play may be involved. Erin Corwin, 19, was last seen leaving her home and her husband reported her missing the next day. KESQ shared the details on Thursday.
Corwin's husband, Marine corporal Jonathan Wayne Corwin, reported his pregnant wife missing after she didn't return home. People shares that the woman left her Twentynine Palms, Calif. home on Saturday morning, and it is believed she was headed to Joshua Tree National Park. Her husband reported her missing on Sunday.
On Monday, Corwin's car was found in the Twentynine Palms area. Authorities have not detailed exactly where the car was found, but they have said it gave no clues about Erin's whereabouts. Foul play has not been ruled out, and homicide investigators are working on the case as well, according to People.
Those who know the Marine's missing pregnant wife say she is a responsible, gentle person with no wild side or history of antics. Her family did not know she was pregnant, but they think she was waiting to tell her mom during an impending visit. The two are said to be extremely close.
CBS News says that Erin's husband Jonathan is cooperating with the investigation. The Sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Bachman notes that there are “suspicious circumstances” regarding the woman's disappearance, but further details have not been revealed. Erin's social media accounts, phone and bank records have shown no activity since she disappeared. It seems that Erin had headed toward Joshua Tree National Park to scout it out as a place to take her mother when she came to town later in the month.
The Marine's pregnant wife who is missing is said to be white with blue eyes and brown hair. Erin Corwin is about 120 pounds, 5 feet 2 inches tall and is just three months pregnant. Anybody who has any information on her is urged to call (909) 387-3589.
