A marine dies on a trip that Ellen DeGeneres gave his wife during an appearance on her show last year. On Dec. 19, the New York Daily News reported that Brandon McGraw, 33, died in Australia in a freak parachuting accident. McGraw's wife, Cherilyn McGraw, won the game "Stuff Your Down Under Pants" on the Ellen DeGeneres Show -- her prize was two tickets "Down Under."
"Brandon McGraw, 33, was killed in Eurora on Saturday afternoon when, on coming down for a landing, he suddenly veered left and right and slammed into the ground," the New York Daily News reports.
The marine that died on the trip Ellen gave his wife was an Afghan and Iraq war veteran. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities say that McGraw went into cardiac arrest but it's unknown if he had a heart attack during the jump or if his landing caused it.
The McGraw's were married in 2011. They were so excited to go to Australia but no one could have ever predicted what tragic events they would experience while they were on vacation.
