After posting a video to tell her boss that she quit her job, the creativity involved in the Marina Shifrin’s presentation landed her a dream job with Queen Latifah on “The Queen Latifah Show,” according to the New York Daily News on Thursday.

Marina Shifrin said – on the Queen Latifah television program – that she figured her video would be seen by a few friends and family members or by a viral audience, suggesting that there would be no in-between in the size of the audience. She was right. The audience for her creative video received over 14 million views so far. During Shifrin’s on-camera interview with Queen Latifah – the actress turned television talk show host – Queen Latifah offered her a job based on her needs and Shifrin’s experience in having worked for – and now having quit – her video production job.

In the interview with Queen Latifah, Shifrin said that she believes a person has to forcefully close one door in order for another door to open a little easier. The YouTube video shows that Shifrin certainly shut the door forcefully on her previous job.

Impressed with the woman, Latifah said that she wanted to be surrounded by cool, creative and interesting people. She immediately suggested that Shifrin consider being her digital content producer. Shifrin thought she was kidding at first, but the offer was sincere.

The two-minute long video that landed Shifrin a new job with a celebrity, she dances around the empty office of her previous employer to Kanye West’s “Gone” song – expressing why she was quitting. She alleges in the video that her former employer was more concerned with the number of views a video received instead of its quality.

In response to her video, the company where she formerly worked – Taiwan’s News Media Animation - released a video entitled “We’re Hiring.”
