Recently this writer traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to a lookalike convention and awards event - Celebrity Impersonators Convention and The Reel Awards.
There were celebrity talent throughout the Stratosphere, where the events were held, and such talent called themselves either lookalikes, tribute artists or impersonators.
These lookalikes of celebrities fell into different categories - those of film, television, politics and comedy. In each of those categories fell the living or the not (living).
Among the 'deceased' celebrities were Frank Sinatra, Mae West, Johnny Cash, Ethel Merman, Peggy Lee, Carmen Miranda, Elvis, George Carlin, Judy Garland, Marlon Brando, Michael Jackson and of course Marilyn Monroe.
There were at least two Marilyns, very much alive. One was from California, Angela Fair, and another from the United Kingdom. It is that Marilyn, Suzie Kennedy, who we will learn more about...
"Marilyn" and paparazzi
Suzie Kennedy is one of the world's most famous Marilyn Monroe impersonators. She is a highly experienced Marilyn Monroe lookalike/tribute performer who has been performing all over the world.
The reason Kennedy has the perfect Marilyn look is that her physical measurements are identical to that of the real Marilyn Monroe. To prove it, Suzie quite often is asked to wear and model Marilyn's own dresses from her movies and private life. She has modeled for Christie's auction house at their Marilyn sale, and was also asked to model and open the largest exhibit of Monroe personal dresses.
Kennedy has also appeared in many global TV commercials, films, music videos, documentaries and worldwide press. She is also an actress performing as Marilyn and is the co-star of the new Leonardo Pieraccioni romantic comedy "Io E Marilyn" (Marilyn and me).
Leonardo is a well-known actor in Italy, famous as a romantic comedy actor. He chose Suzie to play the ghost of Marilyn after a worldwide search to find the girl he thought was right to bring her back to life, and after consultation with the estate of Monroe.
In addition to acting and posing as Marilyn, yes she can also sing! She has her own show and sings with The Rat Pack worldwide.
To top it off, Suzie Kennedy expresses the perfect wit and charm to that of Marilyn. In order to have that perfect look when it comes to wardrobe, Suzie has exact replicas of all the famous Marilyn Monroe gowns.
Kennedy has performed for or in the presence of many leading real celebrities, including: Madonna, Kate Moss, Simon Cowell, Sir Richard Branson, Damon Hill, Jude Law and Nicky Clarke, to name a few.
The grand finale for Suzie Kennedy at the convention and awards ceremony in Las Vegas was that she won three awards. She won a Reel Award for Print Media, and she also won two first places for Vegas Tribute Idol and American Superstar. Her prize as a superstar was performing on the American Superstar stage in the Theater of the Stars at the Stratosphere. There were also trophy prizes.

When asked what she thought of the Celebrity Impersonators Convention, Suzie Kennedy, "Marilyn Monroe," had this to say:
