The reported Marilyn Monroe photos stolen before going on exhibit in Prague included several other memorabilia items. The photos were part of a collection put together by Italian curators. According to The Huffington Post on May 22, 2013, the photos were stolen on Monday.
"Alice Titzova of the PR agency 2media says the photos, stolen late Monday, were to be on display starting May 30 at the Prague Castle."
The collection was assembled by curators at the Salvatore Ferragamo museum in Florence, Italy to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the star's death. The stolen items intended for the show included mannequins and display cases. Clothing such as dresses and her diaries were also part of the exhibit items which were stolen.
The show that was expected to open on May 30 has not yet officially been cancelled. It was also scheduled to travel to Tokyo next.
Marilyn Monroe died in 1962. The sex symbol was known as an actress, model, and a singer too. Her career spanned only about 15 years, but her fame has lasted through to today.
