Marilyn Monroe becomes spa icon

Move over Elizabeth Arden and Betty White,

Marilyn Monroe is the new spa icon.

Monroe’s classic look has been copied by legions of A-list stars following in her footsteps, but the opening of Marilyn Monroe Spas this week introduces her to a new generation. From her cheeky beauty mark to her classic red lips, Marilyn’s look inspired spa industry veteran Niki Bryan to create a new level of glamour for the brand which debuted in Florida and California.

Now, Marilyn Monroe Spas makes getting that classic Marilyn look accessible and fun.

Guests will be swept away by the high quality and cleanliness of the spa as well as with the atmosphere of timeless glamour. Not a franchise, each company-owned and operated location will provide exceptional service in an atmosphere that is decidedly Marilyn -- fun, flirty and glamorous.

Trademarked Marilyn Monroe Spas offer an array of services including hair and makeup in posh settings reminscent of Hollywood sets. Facials, massages, body treatments, manicure/ pedicure, waxing and polish treatments come with an added touch of glamour.

Located in some of the world’s most sought-after locations, Marilyn Monroe Spas™ will provide an unexpected vacation or simply an abbreviated trip to another world, according to company founder Bryan. Opening at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in California, the Marilyn Monroe Nail Boutique in Miami, and the Marilyn Monroe Nail Boutique in Orlando, the company plans to create Marilyn Monroe Spas, Nail Boutiques, or retail Glamour Rooms in New York City, St. Petersburg, Maui, Atlanta, Phoenix, and San Diego in 2014

Niki Bryan, Founder and CEO of Marilyn Monroe™ Spas, has spent over 30 years as an active leader in the spa, beauty, and fitness industries, consistently driving higher standards and innovations in spa facility design and services Through Niki Bryan Spas, she elevated the definition of Resort Spas and Health Clubs in the 1980s with companies such as Ritz-Carlton, Walt Disney World, Marriott, and Hilton.

In the words of Niki, “Consumers have told us our industry needs to change. The spa experience has stagnated while prices have steadily risen; standards of service, hygiene, and quality in the nail boutique business are highly variable and generally not nearly what they should be. Marilyn Monroe™ Spas, Glamour Rooms and Nail Boutiques are replacing the experience that consumers have too long settled for with one that that is vibrant and social, and will leave them looking and feeling wonderful after every visit.”

As defined by Marilyn Monroe, who famously said "I just want to be wonderful!"
